Review at year 2006...
The year started with the sad news that Victoria Lynn lost her foal by Nazeem Ibn Jashana the 9th of January. The 3 other mares did their time and with less than 24 hours between each we got 3 lovely chestnut filly foals.
As we have welcomed our 3 filly foals, Sweet Caress D., Zeems Cheeky D. and White Reflection D. we have also said goodbye to D. Midnight Rodeo, Cody Makida D., Sweet Caress D. and White Reflection D. who all have found good new homes.
Victoria Lynn was shown twice by Lone Husted and with great success, she was
class winner and Senior Res. National Champion and was awarded with a gold
medalj at Scandinavian Open, Blommeröd, Sweden.
D. Shan´n Jan Memory has had his first show season in western riding, and he has
done really well - he defenitely has proved that he has a uniqe temper when
beeing away from home - and we are looking forward to seeing foals from him.
Further more we have broken PA Nafal Ibn Sharim and Sweet Miss D. to ride. We
have had some back problems with Nafal, and probably because of bad choice of
sadle to him, but as this year is ending we are soon beeing able to ride him
again.
Sweet Miss D. has had a rough time accepting the sadle and especially the
bridle, so now and then she has been left to think things over, but also she is
doing well under sadle by now.
At last we have taken Bethnas Hamlet in training - Hamlet is a 5 year old,
unregistered purebred arab gelding. He was given up breaking in twice before
coming here. We think that Hamlet was misunderstood in his training, and we find
him a very nice and cooperative horse that does what ever he can to please you.
And we defenitely believe in him having a great future as a riding horse.
And as the year started with sad news, it ends with sad news, as both Wimpy and Victoria Lynn have lost their foals for the 2007 season. The last foal was tested positive for the Herpes Virus, and that means that in the future all our horses will be vaccinated against that. We are very relieved that we have found a reason and thereby also a solution to our problem. And knowing this we are ready for the 2007 breeding season.
December 2006
Hamlet is working very well and he has just been backed for the first time -
see pics of Hamlet
here.
The test for Victoria Lynns filly foal was positive for Herpes Virus, so now
we have a solution to our problem :-) From now on all our horses will be
vaccinated against the Herpes Virus
I hate having to write this, but it seems that we will have no foals in 2007
since Victoria Lynn also has lost her foal. As this is the 3rd foal we loose
this year, we have been taking a lot of tests from it in order to find out if I
have a problem with my mares or if it simply is my bad luck that just won´t
stop.
But what a Christmas gift :-(
...
We welcome Bethnas Hamlet. Twice Hamlet was tried to be broken to ride but
unsuccesfull. We think he has been misunderstood and we are going to him
one more try and hopefully with success.

November 2006

January 2006
Unfortunately year 2006 has a bad start for us, Victoria Lynn has had her
foal but 9 weeks to early so it was still born. The foal was little colt with a
beautiful little head and a great dish - what a shame that we had to loose this
little beauty :-( We hope that by the los of Vickys foal our bad luck at that
point finally has ended, and we pray that the 3 other mares will have their
babies in a normal way.
New pictures of Dirty Diana.
We wish you all a happy new year!!
