Review at year 2008...
Just like year 2007, the year 2008 brought both sad times
and happy times to us. In the beginning of the year I made the sad but right
decition to give Wimpy back to her breeder and previous owner, my friend
Jette Dawson, Dawson Horses as she had lost her fertility. We also said goodbye
to Cereniza who has had a wonderful new home.
We welcomed 3 wonderful colts to the world, D. Magnum Joker, D. Final
Victory and D. Dancing Miracle, where the last to mentioned are the
first offsprings of our black stallion PA Nafal Ibn Sharim.
We welcomed at stud a new exciting straight russian filly A.F. Escada,
and in mid December we welcomed a russian related colt, SL Carrera too.
And in these very minutes we are waiting for our straight russian stallion
located in Holland to be ready to come home within a month or two.
The year 2008 has been a year in the "sign of the Russians" for us - we have
made quite some efforts in turning our breeding program in direction of the
Russian bloodlines, and I think and hope, that by now we have a really good
starting point for the future.
When it comes to ridning the year 2008 has been rather quiet. We had two horses
in training, A´Fatiima and Rainman, but other than that it hasn´t been much. We
backed CAS Harmony a few times and other than that the biggest moment was
that our stallion D. Shan´n Jan Memory was announced "Horse of the
Year 2007" in our Arabian Riding Club.
In the show ring we were more active though. Our stallion PA Nafal Ibn Sharim
and our 2 year old filly Zeems Cheeky D. had their debut and went to
3 international shows. 7 entries, 7 gold medaljs, 1 class winner and 1
International Senior Champion Stallion title was what they brought home from
shows in Germany, Belgium and Denmark. A record that we are very proud of.
In the last quarter of the year our black colt D. Final Victory had to go
trough an operation, and Nafal injured himself on the pasture so bad that
the vet ordered him in x-ray immediately with a suspected broken bone. Luckily
that was not the coinsidence and he just started training again around Christmas
time and so far he looks to be fully recovered by now, so we look forward to a
lot more riding in the year to come.
Other than that, we look at the year 2009 as another year in the "sign of the
Russians" and wish you all the best in the year to come!!

he will stay for the next month or 2.

We welcome SL Carrera at our stud. Carrera is and a mix of the best russian and
egyptian blood lines. Many thanks to The Vaessen family for giving us this
opportunity!!
Carrera will stand at stud in 2009 and be available for a limited number of
mares.

The result of Jokers red factor test came today.
The result is "EE" which means that he is black homozygous just like his Dam.

November 2008
20th of November
As some people might know I have been looking for a straight russian colt or
stallion for quite some time, and I have leaned that they are not easy to
find... Never the less, I have just become the owner of a straight russian
stallion today.
He is not exactly "thee" stallion I was looking for, and yet my attention was
drawn to him already months ago. He is a proven sire and he pocesses some of the
greatest old russian bloodlines and I will be looking forward to use him in my
breeding program.
As I don´t have any acceptable pics I will save the rest for later. But he will
join us at Davidson Arabians in Januray/February in 2009.

7th of November
Victor was at the clinic for check up after his operation. The operation went
well only now he suffers from growing pains. The advice from the vet is to leave
him be until he is 12-14 months old, and then take him to x-ray again if the
problem has not solved it self before that time.

October 2008
26th of October
Victor is out in the big pasture again, but unfortunately it seems that the
possitive improvement on his movements has stopped. He moves okay in walk and is
a little stiff in trot, but in lope it is not good.. He does what ever he can
not to use the operated leg and has moments where it doesn´t touch the ground.
He will be taken to the clinic for check up on Friday the 7th of November.
22nd of October
Nafal injured himself in the pasture and was ordered in x-ray immediately by the
vet, as she suspected that something was broken. Luckily nothing was broken, but
he has injured a scene and have to stay in the barn for 2 weeks, and after that
only very small pasture and no running for the next 4 months..
13th of October
Victor is developing in positive direction I think, and he works hard on
improving - at least he is tired when we have finished training.
6th of October
Victor is now back from the clinic. His operation went well, so now we just
strictly follow the vets order to what he is allowed to and not allowed to do
for the next weeks, and hope that it will pay off in a positive way when we let
him out among the others again.
2nd of October
The vet called us today saying that the last tests from Nafal was okay, meaning
that we are now able to offer frozen semen from him not only in Denmark but also
in EU.
September 2008
25th of September
D. Final Victory has had some problems with his right hind leg lately. His
condition suddenly was a lot worse, so we took him to the clinic for x-ray. It
seems that an old injure was giving him trouble. He is now going through an
operation as they give him good chances for a full recover.
Our stallion PA Nafal Ibn Sharim is also at the clinic these days, but for the
purpose of making frozen semen. We are happy to announce that his semen is very
good and also the frozen semen from him is of very high quality.
And while at the clinic anyway we had him x-rayed too and we are also very happy
to announce that Nafal is OCD free.

Harmony was backed for the first time and she is compelety cool - probably the
coolest horse I ever broke. She will not work much, the goal is just a little
walk and trot under sadle with nice accept of the bridle, and something tells me
that she is a very quick learner :-)

The two oldest foals are now weaned and I have decided to break Harmony in over
the next month or two before she gets to heavy due to her pregnancy. So far she
has been introduced to the sadle and was very calm and quiet. Pics of her

One week ago we said goodbye to our horse in training
A´Fatiima,
and now a bit delayed the last pics of her is available on her site. It was a
pleasure knowing Tiima, and also a pleasure to see her owner Birgitte and Tiima
together - they sure will have a lot of joy in their future together.

20th of July
Nafal and Cheeky are back home again after a succesful show season. They both
did great at the shows, but what a feeling seeing them so happy beeing home
again.
19th and 20th of July
3rd weekend in a row that Nafal and Cheeky was at show, this time at the
International A show at Vilhelmsborg, Denmark - the results are added on their
sites.
We are thrilled with their results despite a very tough program for both of
them.

Arabian Fantasie, Holland for training, handling and bringing
my beloved ones to these wonderful results - you are simply the best :-))

PA Nafal Ibn Sharim and Zeems Cheeky D. both had their debut in the show ring at
International B show in Brecht, Belgium. Nafal was champion at his first show
with unanimous 20 for movements. The results are added on the pages for
stallions and youngsters. Both are trained and handeled by Chris van Schalkwijk,
Arabian Fantasie, Holland - well done Chris and Thank you :-)

We congratulate Sweet Caress D. and her owner Lisbeth Bendixen on the result
from The Danish Nationals. Lisbeth was handling Caress her self, and they both
had their debut on this show and was awarded 34,67 points and was 3rd in the
class.
We also congratulate Makur and his owner Maria Dixen on their win in the gelding
class. Makur is the sire of our broodmare Sweet Miss D. and our stallion D.
Shan´n Jan Memory.

The vet was here to check for pregnancy - we are expecting 4 exciting foals in
2009.

Today we received the results of the colour test made on D. Magnum Joker and
Elunah Monpelou. They are tested for the Agouti gene, and both are found "aa"
(homozygous for Non-Agouti), which means that they are both BLACK.

The vet has agreed that D. Final Victory and his mum can go home for the
weekend. He suffers from patent urachus, and at the moment we don´t know if he
will need a surgery to solve the problem.
10th of March
Victoria Lynn and her colt was hospitalized in the morning due to D. Final
Victory having problems urinating. We keep our fingers crossed and hope for the
best.
9th of March
Victoria Lynn gave birth to a beautiful black colt sired by our stallion PA
Nafal Ibn Sharim. This colt is the first purebred foal sired by Nafal. We named
him "D. Final Victory"
7th of March
Harmonys little colt is named "D. Magnum Joker". He is now on the
offspring site and also in the gallery.
5th of March
19 days over due Harmony finally gave birth to a lovely colt. She is a
loving and caring mum and everything has gone by the book so far - all we could
ever wish for.

13th of February
Wimpy left us today. She is retired and sent home to Jette Dawson to enjoy the
rest of her life where she was born.
I saw Wimpy the first time when she was just about 1 year old and I fell in love
with her, but she was defenitely not for sale. 1½ year went by before I succeded
in talking Jette into selling Wimpy, and in October year 2000 I became the lucky
owner of Wimpy.
She has been an incredible broodmare to me as she gave birth to 3 lovely
fillies, all with super type and character.

The party is over now, she cannot

Wimpy is the kind of horse I
would never sell, and yet today I gave away horse, pasport and certificate of
registration and yet without having sold.. - definetely a strange feeling.. But
I know that I sent her to a place where she has been missed ever since October
year 2000.
Wimpy will always have a special place in my heart, and Jette I am forever
greatful that you let her go for a bit more than 7 years ago, just as I am very
greatful today, to be able to give her a retirement in your paradise where she
was born.
Take good care of our girl.

Nafal had his first jumping lesson today. He was rather cool and seemed to enjoy
the different kind of work. He will continue his lessons every Sunday untill he
will go to Holland for show training at Arabian Fantasie.

Victoria Lynn. Victoria will go to Arabian Fantasie in the end of
March/beginning of April depending on when her foal is born.

ccurettage in order to try to change the statement from her biopsy.
