Review at year 2011..
2011 began in the shade of Nafals death and with no enthusiasm at all
- and suddenly the year has now ended. When looking back I have to admit
that we had a positive year in many ways.
SL Carrera was licensed in The Trakehner Studbook in February, and
even before that our first foal arrived - a wonderful Straight Russian filly
named Eluniqa D. In March the next foals arrived - this time 2 colts
named Perfect Timing and D. Massive Touch. Our last foal
arrived in April - and again a wonderful Straight Russian filly named
Amazing Grace D.
In the summer we welcomed Rose of Kunar, in September Kamal Al
Hayat arrived and in October we welcomed back D. Midnight Rodeo.
Unlike many others we can not say that we have suffered from the financial
crisis.. Amicelli OS was sold to his lease family at Maribo Stud,
D. Massive Touch was sold to Tine but is still living with us, D.
Matrix moved to Southern Jutland, Vix Sultana D. to Italy, CAS
Harmony to Switzerland, Perfect Timing to Estonia, Balate
and Sinaida got new homes in Jutland and D. Midnight Rodeo on
Sealand.
Despite Carreras licensing in The Trakehner Studbook the highlights
of year 2011 would be that Precious Marcia D. had her debut on show
and her best score was 91 points and several 20´s for movement during the
season. Rose of Kunar and D. Desert Eagle was attending the
DSAH licensing - Rose was given 8 in end note and Eagle was
given 9 - and also he took the junior Champion Title. Last but definitely
not least Duval was given KEUR status in the Dutch Studbook for his
successful children.
When it comes to riding SL Carrera has had a break during the summer
which caused some exstra time for Massimo, so finally we have started
riding him for real. Also at this time we have started breaking in Kamal
Al Hayat.
Despite our own foals, Duval sired a wonderful filly in Holland, who
already in her first show season has earned several champion titles. He also
sired a colt and a filly in Denmark, our former broodmare Victoria Lynn
now living in Sweden gave birth to a filly sired by SL Carrera,
and also a son from him was born in Denmark. Nafal has sired 4 foals,
all Shagyas - 2 colts and 2 fillies.
This year we are waiting with great excitment to see what CAS Harmony
delivers in Switzerland. She is due in the beginning of February and in foal
to Valerio Ibn Eternity - if this foal is a filly it will be mine to pick up
when ready. In March the first of our three foals should arrive and we
are waiting with great excitment as these foals will be our first foal from
SL Carrera and Duval - and also we are expecting the very
first foal from D. Desert Eagle - a foal that will be the first grand
child from Nafal...
In the global picture 2 Trakehner mares are in foal to Nafal, 1
Shagya mare to SL Carrera as well as 2 Arabian mares.
We have our combinations planned for 2012 and can hardly wait to get started,
so with these words we wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for
2012 !!

Today it is one year ago since we lost our
beloved Nafal in the most sudden and tragic way
Since Nafal passed away 4 shagya foals from him have been born, 2
colts and 2 fillies. For the 2012 season 2 Trakehner mares are confirmed in
foal to him.
Nafal will live on in his children of various breeds and I am very
proud of that.
Time flies and no matter what happens we have to think clear and keep moving
forward and as we still have quite a lot of high quality frozen semen from
Nafal he is now back on the stallion site.

New sport horse on the sales list...
D. Midnight Rodeo has shown himself to be very gentle in daily life
and very easy to ride so for that reason he is already now on the sales
list.
We hope to be able to find a super home for him.

Kamal Al Hayat and D. Desert Eagle and I was attending a
horsemanship clinic with The Australian Elite Horsemen Tristan Tucker & Will
Rogers.
It was great to see these guys work with very different horses during the
day and also great to see that what they do and how they work are not so
much apart from the way I do my work when breaking in.
I got some inspiration and some inputs that I for sure will use in my work
in the future and also D. Desert Eagle got the experience of carrying
weight.

real western attitude - totally calm and cool :-)

We welcome back D.
Midnight Rodeo (Makur x Victoria Lynn)!!
Rodeo was born at Davidson Arabians in 2003 and in 2006 he was sold to
Camilla skov.
Camilla has been very happy to have Rodeo, but due to
becoming a mum she has no time for him anymore.
Rodeo is not ridden
since last summer, and as soon as possible he will start working under sadle
again, and when ready he will be available for purchase.
But at first
Rodeo will spend the next weeks in foster care at
Skovsted OX
where he
will be gelded and taken care of in best possible ways - he will return to
Davidson Arabians when he is ready for riding.

Some of you might know that I had some trouble riding Massimo Ibn Mirokan..
During the last 4 weeks he has been checked from A-Z in all possible
ways by vets and chiropractican and thank Good they didn´t come up with
anything serious - the conclusion is just beeing rude.
So with no excuses for health problems Massimo and I sure has had our
tangos recently, and finally I am beginning to feel like a winner in this
battle, and my hopes for him as a riding horse is now growing every day :-))
Sometimes it really pays to ignore the risk, take the fight, be stubbon and
keep believing..
Love this boy in all possible ways.

August 30th
Duval has been visiting the clinic a couple of times for semen
collection.
The tests shows that the semen should be good enough for freezing, so we now
have frozen semen from Duval,
not approved for the EU though.
We hope to be able to test for real it with success in the early spring.
August 27th - 28th
National Show in Billund - Rose of Kunar and Massimo Ibn Mirokan
was attending.
It was an out door show and it was a VERY wet "pleasure"
Also in this weekend we would have loved to be at the National Show in
Holland, as the KEUR status of Duval will be accounced at this show.
As receiver of the hounor and price Mrs. van Schaik was there.

Mrs. Van Schaik is the founder of famous Monpelou Stud and she was the owner
of Duval for 15 years before he came to Davidson Arabians.
Once again we would like to send a special thank you to Mrs. van Schaik for
sending Duval to Denmark 2½years ago and also a very special thanks
to Abigail & Chris, Arabian Fantasie for making it possible and for showing
Duvals offsprings to such great success.

at midnight and our Duval breeding was sold for 475 Euros.
Meaning that the 475 Euros will go the the recovery of Tibet and Pokupka!!

We congratulate Tine M. Petersen with the purchase of D. Massive Touch
- and at the same time we welcome Rose of Kunar (Kunar
T x Cyntia ED/Khidar).
Rose of Kunar was born in Holland and was shown as a yearling and
became Bronze Champion at a national show.
We are looking forward to get to know "Rosie" and also we look
forward to follow Tine and Touch in the future.
Touch will leave us when he is weaned.

Finally done for this year..
The last mare is now confirmed in foal, and the result of this combination
is for me rather exciting..
It will be the first foal sired by D. Desert Eagle, and for that
reason also the first grandchild from our beloved PA Nafal Ibn Sharim.
And there is more to it than that - it will black and and half Russian!

Today is Duval´s 21 year old Birthday!!
We are very proud of him and his progeny and happy that he still looks and
acts a lot younger that the paper says he is :-))

Most arabian horse lovers in Europe have heard of
Tibet and Pokupka,
the purebred arabians that were brutally wounded in their faces in the
beginning of May by an unknow maniac. Both Tibet and Poku are still in the
hospital and are dispite all doing better day by day. The photos of these
brutally injured horses have chocked horse people all over the world and to
support the owner and to assist on the payment of the huge vet bills an
auction has been arranged. Breedings from nearly 80 stallions from
several different countries have been donated to this charity auction. The
auction starts on June 5th and ends on June 13th and we have donated a
breeding from DUVAL to this auction and we are happy and proud to see
that the first bids have been placed on our breeding within the first 24
hours.

What a day.. Stress, Sinaida with the milk running and exsamination
on the AI course...
But all went well - I passed the course and Sinaida was holding on
until 9pm where she gave birth to a pretty and very leggy colt by our former
western stallion D. Shan´n Jan Memory.

Perfect Timing is bred by Dina Laursen as Sinaida was in foal
when we bought her.

She is the fullfilment of our Russian Revolution as she is our first
homebred Straight Russian foal,

a great grand daughter from Duval.
